Visiting the Farm

Visitors are always welcome to our Doodle Farm.  For those interested in visiting, a visit can be arranged when your puppy is between the ages of 5 and 6 weeks.  We ask that you call, text, or email us to make an appointment.  We try to make the Doodle Farm available to you on weekdays as well as weekends.

If you cannot visit, don’t worry—we can take videos to keep you connected to your puppy.  If you are unsure of a choice, you may also visit us to see your puppy in person so that you can feel good about making the perfect choice.

Guidelines

There are a few guidelines and rules that we like our guests to follow and adhere to for the safety of our dogs.  We do limit outside visitation when we have puppies born on the farm.

When visiting our Doodle Farm, we ask that you DO NOT wear clothing from a recently visited shelter, Humane Society, or another breeding facility before arriving to our Barn, this will alleviate the spread of germs to our puppies.  We also ask that you do not visit any other kennels on the same day.  Parvo Virus, Kennel Cough, and many other contagious diseases can be transferred from one facility to another by your clothing and shoes.  These viruses can be deadly to puppies, especially the very young unvaccinated litters.  Puppies are especially at high risk of sickness because of their immune systems, which are not fully developed.

Our goal at the Farm is to keep your puppy happy and healthy from birth until he or she goes home.  We hope each of our new doodle owners will take the same precautions once they get their puppy home.

When you arrive at the Doodle Farm, we also ask that you dunk your shoe soles in a mild disinfectant wash prior to entering the whelping or play rooms.  This practice also helps prevent the spread of germs from outside guests.

Lastly, we ask that no visitors other than family members who have purchased a puppy or who have a deposit on a puppy be allowed to visit.  Visitors will not be accepted on puppies that we do not have a contract on.

In closing, we would like all our guests to visit and enjoy their time with their new doodle, but please keep in mind, we do run a busy farm, and we may have more guests like yourself arriving to see their puppy.  We ask all our guests to try to limit their visitation times to one hour.

We thank you at Red Barn Doodle Farm for adhering to our policies; it makes conditions healthier for all our dogs at the Farm.

We Would Love to Hear From You
